MY FAVORITE | FALL 2017 TRENDS

September 8, 2017

Fall is my absolute favorite season for fashion. There is a reason why the September issue is so major! The best fabrics, styles, visions all emerge in the Fall. For this post, I’ve rounded up MY five favorite Fall Trends for 2017. There are so many incredible trends happening this season but the ones below are what I actually see myself buying and wearing this fall.

/ Mad About Plaid /
From plaid blazers to coats to even mules, one of the IT prints this fall will be plaid. I actually purchased a plaid blazer AND coat for this season and can’t wait to style it with shorts (for transitional weather), high waisted denim, leather skirts, and more. I also love the look of a plaid two piece whether it be with culottes, wide legged trousers, or skinny cropped pants.

/ Sock It To Me /
Ahhh the sock boot. I personally love this trend because I have smaller calves and it’s wonderful to know that the boots won’t be sliding down whenever I take a step. Balenciaga has really reinvented the sock boot this season and is already sold out in black, but lucky for us, Tony Bianco also makes his version of the sock boot for a fraction of the cost. These boots look fab with shorts, skirts, and denim making them super versatile and a great investment for the season. But please note from personal experience – just because it’s a sock boot doesn’t mean you don’t have to wear socks (yes, I have the blisters to prove it).

/ Let It Shine /
It is all about metallics this fall which is great because you can take this trend into winter and all the holiday looks. From Chanel to Asos, you are seeing a lot of shine in jackets, dresses, and accessories. I picked up some silver booties that I can’t wait to wear with denim.

/ Lady in Red /
If there is one color for fall it will be red. From vibrant red to deep reds…Typically I never wear red. But this season I decided I am going to take the plunge and go for it. Be bold and stand out. But if you’re like me and red is a little too much to handle, start small like I did with a pop of red in your accessories.

/ Ladylike Bags /
One of the many reasons why I love fall is because everything is more chic – including bags. Ladylike bags can help pull together your entire look in an effortless way. I love the new bags by Strathberry, a Scottish brand, that just launched at Saks.

So what are some of your favorite Fall trends and what do you see actually wearing this season?

Beautiful outfit and photos babe! Fall is my favorite for fashion as well! Not ready to say bye to Summer but it already feels cold here in Chicago… so, it’s time!
I’m obsessed with red and feathers this season. Not sure about the sock boots though. I like them but need to try them on to see if they look good on me!
Thanks for sharing babe!

I have small calves too so the sock booties are my favorite as well. I love that red is trending this season as it’s a refresher from the neutrals and army green we’re used to. Love the outfit you put together babe.

OMG I want them all!!! Love the red, it is a power color right now as seen on NYFW. I’m in love with the sock boots…the Balenciaga ones are TDF but I’m up for a good dupe as well to save my credit card from overworking. Your black Strathberry bag is too chic, I love the combination of black leather and gold metal chain and hardware and I am so glad that they are now available at Saks!! You’ve worn the perfect outfit for transitional weather in LA, we are still in summer during the day and only at night things starts to get a little cool and chilly so that fuzzy jacket is perfect. Can’t wait to dress for fall!! It is my fav season as well.

As much as I love my more sober autumn colors I must say I’m totally thrilled about red making an entrance into the fashion trend scene this season. Red is a hard color to pull off, but with the right hue of red I’m sure I’ll make it look good af! 🙂 Thanks for letting us know what’s happening in the world of fashion right now!

Fall trends are great this year. I love the silver and gold trend in booties. You can wear these for any occasion. I love red but the blue reds are not my favorite.

I’ve been trying to find a good sock boot with smaller heels so I can wear it around without them hurting my feet but haven’t found much luck yet. I’ve been seeing a lot of plaid around in Tokyo, though!! It’s such a timeless trend that’s easy to incorporate. Can’t wait for that fall weather so I can start wearing my fall outfits!

Ahh you guys are heading into fall! I love Fall! We’re also in transition season at the moment and I am squeezing the booties in whilst I can before it gets too warm over here in Sydney. I’ve been hunting for a plaid blazer for a while now and you’ve just narrowed down my search 😉

You look so incredible in that khaki skirt and you’ve styled it so perfectly with the fluffy jacket – total boss lady!

I can’t wait to see how you will style a plaid blazer and coat. I have a plaid blazer that I gave to my sister and she loves it. I was quite excited to see this outfit because it looks very unusual to you. Most of the time you wear casual looks, don’t get me wrong I love it. But this outfit is very elegant and feminine. I would love to see more outfits like that in the future

It’s always so fascinating this time of year as I predominately follow american bloggers, yet I’m based in Australia. It’s going into the warmer months here but I will definitely look at all the red pieces you shared in the Lady In Red section. Especially those earrings!

I love so many of these trends for fall. I’m on the hunt for the perfect sock boot right now. Especially one with a wearable heel. After running around all week for fashion week in heels I’m swearing off painful shoes for a while LOL. And I was just thinking I needed more red in my wardrobe…

Honestly, I’m always stunned with the photography on your blog. I have almost all trendy items you mentioned except for sock booties. Needless to say, this combination of Shein skirt and B’lessed Are The Meek jacket is adorable! You nailed it.

I love your AW17 trend round up! I am one to usually shy away from red, but this season I am all about it! I saw a red blazer and pant suit at Zara a few months ago. I decided not to get it, but now I am regretting my decision.
I am SO obsessed with the plaid print this season! I have had the same Mango blazer in my cart for a few weeks now. I think I might just buy it, so I don’t have another thing to regret. Thanks for sharing!

P.s. I love this look on your post! The green skirt is divine!

I just went to buy your bag but it’s sold out! Damn!! I’ll keep an eye out for restock.

I always love to read a trend wrap up, and yours is fabulous!! I’m going to have to stock up on some red for the season to come.

I love this look on you – the skirt is perfection.

I am especially happy about sock boots being on trend still. I ended up buying a pair last year near the end of the season and wasn’t able to enjoy them as much. I am also looking forward to giving red a try again. It’s not a color I typically wear, but I’ll make an exception this season to get out of my comfort zone 🙂

That skirt is so gorgeous. Love how you paired it love! I am definitely also digging the all red trend! Not sure if I wear it but you can show us all how you would wear it! I do need to get myself a bag stat. I’ve been lugging around the same bag forever. It’s tragic haha. Thanks for sharing all your fave trends! Can’t wait to see you in more of them this year.

Definitely red and sock boots! I’ve always loved the look of red and off of the various shades, but getting to wear it in that pure, deep bold color makes it better! I bought a pair of the boots, but they didn’t fit!! You have some great trend topics here, I love them all!
