WE ARE | PERFECT

by dailykongfidence

Over the weekend I had my first beauty panel gig and was honored to join some major experts on beauty at Neiman Marcus at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA for their Glam Squad event. At the end of the panel, we each had the opportunity to provide one last takeaway to the audience. I, of course, spoke of finding confidence in yourself by believing in who you are. Forget the comparisons, forget the self-pity, you got it, so believe it.

The speaker adjacent from me, Jennifer Pieracci, the National Director of Sales and Artistry for Kevyn Auction Beauty said the most beautiful and insightful thing. Her takeaway was that there is nothing wrong with any of us. Nothing to be fixed, nothing broken, we are all perfect. All the colors, textures, sprays, lipsticks, and brushes are just a way to play and even without them we are PERFECT.

I mean, how amazing are her words? They were so reflective and are so very true and this has been resonating with me since that event. We ARE perfect and even though we think that our thighs touch, our wrinkles show, our nose is too flat, our chest is too small, our butt is too big, those are the things that make us incredibly different, incredibly complex, and incredible relatable.

So whatever it is you think that you don’t have or that you have, this is how we were created and this is our journey. Every crease represents a worry or challenge you defeated, every line reflects a joyful moment you experienced, every scar shows how strong you were and how you survived. We are perfect in our imperfections so please love yourself and know you are enough. You are good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, you have enough, you work enough, you do enough, you ARE ENOUGH and you ARE PERFECT.

I love this message so much and think it’s so important. You are enough and you are perfect, just the way you are. Why don’t we tell ourselves this more often? Such a great reminder and a mantra we should all repeat every single day. On an unrelated note – looking beautiful as always – I need those red pants!! Have a great weekend Christine.

I love what she said! In this day and age where we are constantly put against one another for comparison it is so important to realize that we are perfect just the way we are! I champion for originality and uniqueness and not just be a copy of someone else and that we are good just the way we are. Have a wonderful Europe trip and I’ll be following along on your Instastory!

I always love reading your blog because it’s charged of positive vibes Christine. I totally agree with the message and the more we tell that message to ourselves and to the women (and men) who surround us, the easier will be for us to start believing it instead of letting our insecurities take over. We are perfect, all different, and yet all gorgeous in our own way. Thanks! Much love from sunny Spain

I am so with you that we are PERFECT in everything and at anything! I love this red trousers you are wearing and can’t believe how cheap they cost at Nasty Gal. Sadly, I got disappointed once at Nasty Gal, because everything what I ordered was too big or too small. After, I never ordered from them anything. Maybe I should give another try to them.

Hey Darling,
How are you?
Totally agree, we are Perfect, its not easy to accept because we see on Media so many things what makes us to compare to others but the Best is when we do accept ourselves as we are. Hard job but possible:)
Ps: Loved your Look, That pants is just Stunning:) Wooow

Congratulations on speaking at your first panel! I love this post. What Jennifer said, really speaks volumes. I love that she said that there is nothing wrong with any of us. Nothing to be fixed, nothing broken, we are all perfect. In today’s society, we really do need a constant reminder of this. We are always trying to improve ourselves physically, and comparing ourselves to people on TV and online. We are all perfect, we are beautiful and we don’t need to change anything.

P.s. I love your outfit! The track pants are killer!

Thank you for sharing!

I love reading this kind of post and you are a PRO in these topics. This is so inspiring and full of positivism.

I love your takeaway comment. I feel like we as women are constantly told we are not good enough! It’s ridiculous. We should all love ourselves for what we have. I also love Jennifer’s takeaway – and is very inline with your thoughts. There is nothing wrong with any of us but we are always looking for the next shade of lippy or miracle skin care. Thanks so much for sharing and congrats on being part of a great panel!

Hey Christine,

I would be really happy to listen to your speech about confidence! I absolutely agree with words of Jennifer Pieracci. We need to always remember them!

You are such a light! What an amazing opportunity to be able to speak on that panel! Jennifer Pieracci’s words were spot on! In this industry it is so easy to compare! I love that there are women like you two that are so supportive in encouraging women to own who they are and that they are perfectly made! Also, I love your look the joggers are incredible! I remember seeing these on IG and was instantly regretful of returning a similar pair I’d purchased! They definitely were not flattering from the back on me but I should have just owned it! I adore the heels that you added to give it a bit of a feminine feel too!

What a beautiful post ! your pictures and your styling is impeccable as usual.
I really needed to hear that today those were some very inspiring words, they say that comparison is the thief of joy and I totally believe that, especially in the world we live in today it’s hard not to compare our selves to others.
Congrats on being on that beauty panel you totally deserve it you put a lot of hard work in and you’re great at what you do and it’s good to be appreciated for those things.
Those red pants look amazing they are so eye-catching and really make this outfit.

Absolutely love this post babe!!! I think when we are younger (teenagers) we have so much insecurities in the way we look like I actually used to have but once I get older I get more confident of who I am and the way I look. However I would kill to have this kind of examples around me when I was a teenager because it can be very hard. Even now days with all social media and how your life is so expose you should be very open to criticism but also not let bad comments come to your head. Surrounding yourself with positive vibes and people like you and Jennifer Pieracci is all we need.

Thanks for you another beautiful post and btw love this entire look! Those pants are stunning.
