Typically when summer rolls around you see all the florals, the stripes, the tropical prints, and bright colors. But what happens when you don’t own those colors or if you just aren’t comfortable wearing as much pattern?
To me black is not a color reserved just for fall and winter. Black can be worn year round and yes, even in the summer. For my “summertime” outfit, I wore a bodysuit from PoshSquare with my summer staple, distressed cutoffs. Warning, this outfit alone will probably get you a lot of unwarranted whistles and catcalls. To tone down the sexiness, I draped on this Topshop, calf length duster for a more appropriate daytime look.
I added more “summertime” to this outfit by slipping on the current lace up trend heels and decided to go with a color other than black to contrast against the black vest. Add a scarf or a simple bandana around the neck and you have yourself the perfect summer look!
