If you haven’t caught on to the latest denim trend, it’s a must! Two-tone denim is popping up everywhere from jeans to denim skirts and even jackets. You may be thinking that wearing two different washes of denim sounds weird, but it’s essentially a denim on denim look, aka the Canadian Tuxedo. Sporting this trend is easier than you think. The best way is to pair two-tone denim with basics like tee shirts, stripes, and tanks. The denim speaks for itself so keep the look simple and effortless.
I am in love with these two-tone jeans from AG Jeans. I am wearing a size 23 and they fit true to size. The only downside to these jeans are that they don’t have back pockets, but it is totally worth it even without them. If you are in between sizes, I would go down since they have more of a wide leg and flare to them. This top is also another favorite of mine that I purchased recently on sale from TopShop (it’s sold out but I linked similar lace bodysuits below). It is a bodysuit (perfect with these high waisted jeans) and I love the sheerness and subtle polka dot detail.

I think you styled this so well, and I also really like the bodysuit. I feel bodysuits are perfect, because they don’t create unflattering lines and creases. I honestly think that such a cool concept because I always love the idea of layering jeans with jeans but this just makes it even better because they’re so much more depth with the color variation. This trend, for me, is one that’s hit or miss! I’m either completely in love with a piece or I think it looks tacky. You absolutely knocked it out of the park though! This is one of the best two toned pair of denim I’ve seen and you really did a fantastic job of pairing it perfectly with the feminine detail bodysuit! As mentioned on Instagram, I adooooore your two tone step hem jeans! They are not weird at all to me, I’d actually wear them on repeat. And as you’ve said, styling two tone denim is quite easy since they already speak for theirselves. The easiest way is going for a basic tee and a bandana and you’re good to go. I’ve seen quite a bit of the Two tone denim on top fashion bloggers as of late. Personally not sure if I can rock this look because I’m pretty short and I dont’ want to look like a denim jigsaw puzzle, but I like the vertical separation, it actually lengthens you. Super cute styling with the mesh see thru top and those bow slides. Another fun fact, as much as I love designer bags, I don’t have a single YSL…hahaha maybe it is time to change that as well.
